Questions families ask
Short answers to the questions we hear most. If yours isn’t here, give us a call. We’re happy to talk it through.

What kind of care do you provide?
Everything from a little help through the day to full care. Every situation is different, so the best first step is a call. We’ll talk through what your loved one needs.
Is care available around the clock?
Yes. We provide 24-hour care, every day of the year.
Who are your caregivers?
We choose our team carefully, make sure they are well trained, and give them the support and resources they need to do their best work.
Can my parent stay if their needs change?
In most cases, yes. As needs change, the care changes with them, without a move. We’ll always talk it through with you.
Do you care for people with dementia?
Yes. Ours is a calm, single-level home with door alarms, familiar faces and 24-hour care.
Do you support hospice?
Yes. We are hospice-capable: care is delivered here by your chosen Medicare-certified hospice agency, and we provide room, board, personal care and coordination.
What does it cost?
It depends on the care your loved one needs. Give us a call and we’ll give you a real number, usually in one conversation.
Can residents keep their own doctor?
Yes, residents can keep their own doctor. We also have a doctor who visits the home and sees residents on site.
What happens in a medical emergency?
We call 911, then we call you, right away. Several hospitals are a short drive from the house.
What is a typical day like?
Unhurried. Meals together at one table, help with whatever the day needs, and time for music, cards, the garden or a rest.
Can they bring their own things?
Please do: a favorite chair, photos, a quilt. It helps a new room feel like home quickly.
When can we visit?
Family is always welcome. Just let us know if you’re coming at an unusual hour. For a first visit or tour, give us a call to arrange a time.
How will you keep us updated?
However you prefer: a text, a weekly call, or a call when something changes. If anything changes, you hear from us the same day.
How quickly can someone move in?
Often quickly. If a hospital or rehab discharge is coming up, please call rather than use the form, and we’ll do our best to meet your date.
